Privacy

Last updated [DATE]

Living Myth records people making things. That means we hold footage of your hands, your work and sometimes your voice. This page says exactly what we keep, where it goes, and what you control.

Living Myth is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME]. Contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL].

What we collect

Your accountEmail address, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider, never readable by us), and the username you choose.
VideoWhat your camera records during a session, saved in ten-second pieces as you go.
AudioOnly when the microphone is switched on. With it off, no audio is recorded at all.
MovementYour device's motion sensors, and hand positions worked out from the video, used to notice moments worth marking.
TranscriptsOnly when the microphone is on. Speech is turned into text so it can be searched.
What you nameObjects you label, notes you write, and the still images taken when you do.
Camera detailsResolution, frame rate and similar settings for each session.
Technical logsError and diagnostic messages from the app, tied to your account, used to fix problems.

We do not collect your location. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell your information.

Other people in your recordings

If someone else is in view, or can be heard while your microphone is on, they are recorded too. They have not agreed to anything by being near you. Please ask before recording people, and don't switch the microphone on where others would reasonably expect not to be recorded. If you appear in someone's recording and want it addressed, contact us.

What you decide, per session

Every session starts private. Afterwards, from the session's rights panel, you can choose separately whether:

The exact wording you agreed to is stored alongside your choice, so the terms you accepted can always be shown later. You can change any of these. Changing them doesn't undo what already happened — someone who already watched a session has seen it, and a label already submitted stays.

Leasing

Your work is never copied or sent to anyone who leases it. They get access to ask questions of it, in place, for a set time. Any copy taken is a breach of the lease, and every access is logged.

Who else handles it

SupabaseDatabase, file storage and sign-in.
CloudflareHosts the site, and keeps a long-term copy of your footage.
RendobarJoins your video pieces into a single playable file.
DailyCarries live broadcasts, only when you go live.
Transcription[TRANSCRIPTION PROVIDER] turns recorded speech into text.
PaddleProcesses payment when you buy credits. Paddle is the seller of record for those purchases, so your card details go to them and never to us.

The image-recognition and speech-recognition models that mark moments during a session run on your own device. Their files are downloaded from Hugging Face; your footage is not sent there.

How long we keep it

You can delete any session, which removes it from the app. Some records are kept by design, because they exist to be trustworthy:

The long-term footage archive is write-once, so removing a recording from it may take a request to us rather than a button. [CONFIRM ARCHIVE DELETION PROCESS]

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA. Contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL].

Security

Your data is readable only by your own account unless you choose to share a session. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you if a breach affects you.

Children

Living Myth is not for anyone under [16]. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll tell you before it applies. The terms attached to a session you've already shared don't change retroactively.
